Beekeeping
at the Österreichischer Jagdfalkenhof
In April 2024, six
organic beehives moved to the Austrian Falconry
Center.
Shortly thereafter, we had the first natural
swarms, which we were able to capture from our
apple tree and from the windbreak.
In August 2024, we were able to extract our first
honey!
We
delight in perfectly capped honeycombs, which,
when uncapped, reveal a wonderfully diverse honey
that, when spun from the combs, appears like
liquid amber in the sunlight.
